Exploring Healing Prayer
The way to learn about healing prayer is to pray! The prayer exercises explored in this course
are known to be means of opening persons to the gifts of healing.
Course length: 6 weeks, 2-hour sessions.
Healing as a Parish Ministry
An in-depth, parish-based program whose goal is spiritual formation in preparation for being
competent mnisters of religious healing. Teaching is done from a Roman Catholic perspective
while valuing and respecting all Christian traditions.
You will learn about:
- The Ministry of Religious Healing vs. Faith Healing
- How to Minister as a Team
- The Cycle of Ministry
- Listening as a Divine Activity
- The Characteristics of a Good Pastoral Listener
- The Types of Wounds, Types of Remedies
- Resources for Ministers of Religious Healing
You will practice:
- Simple ways to pray
- Praying with and for another
- Laying on hands
- Journaling and prayer
